Iran Says Contacts With Pakistan Continue, No Deal Yet on New US Talks
The statement followed rare direct discussions between Iranian and US delegations held in Islamabad on Saturday, which were intended to help de-escalate tensions but ultimately ended without any deal being reached, according to reports.
In the wider context of the conflict, Iranian authorities say that more than 3,300 people have been killed in US-Israeli airstrikes on Iran since Feb. 28. A two-week ceasefire was later announced last week, according to the same sources.
