Russian, Azerbaijani Emergency Ministers Convene
During the discussions, Alexander Kurenkov and Kamaladdin Heydarov focused on matters related to collaborative efforts between the two countries, according to the ministry's official statement.
"The head of the Russian agency expressed gratitude to Azerbaijan for organizing the evacuation of Russian citizens from Iran during the recent Iran-Israel conflict," the ministry declared, emphasizing Azerbaijan’s role in assisting during the crisis.
The two ministers also exchanged views on enhancing cooperation between their national emergency organizations.
They acknowledged Azerbaijan's active role in strengthening the International Civil Defense Organization, which is currently holding its 58th session in Baku.
"Joint work in this direction proves that saving lives and mutual assistance are prioritized in international cooperation among emergency services," the ministry added, highlighting the shared commitment to global emergency response efforts.
